Blowing Rock | Art and Antique Show
August 3rd 2015
In late July, H + K Gallery was one of several distinguished art galleries and dealers to host pieces at the annual Blowing Rock Arts and Antiques Show at the Blowing Rock Art and History Museum. Over 5,000 square feet of gallery space showcased stunning art, collectibles, jewelry and furnishings from the top galleries and collectors on the East Coast. Ticketed attendees bid on pieces via auction or in private purchases.

For over 11 years, the beautiful magazine Art Galleries & Artists of the South has showcased the galleries, artists and events important to Southern artists and those who appreciate Southern art. In Volume 12, Issue 2, H+K gallery has a two-page spread about our gallery, starting on page 54. The magazine shows seven of our distinguished paintings from various artists.
Family opens art gallery in downtown Spartanburg

A family's love of art collecting has led to a new business in downtown Spartanburg. H + K Gallery, at 151 W. Main St., opened in May. Owners Susan Henderson Kunkler and her daughter, Claire, said they have been pleased with visitors response to the rotating collection of about 80 pieces, which includes paintings and sculpture by Southern artists.

Another business is set to open its doors in downtown Spartanburg as H & K Gallery is putting the finishing touches on its space at 151 W Main St. for a grand opening on Thursday, May 21. The beautifully renovated space will feature one of the largest selections of Southern fine art pieces you're likely to find anywhere, and figures to be a prominent stop on Downtown Spartanburg's monthly art walk.
